The “Passenger” series explores, through photographic records, a visual narrative surrounding the identity of a young European, and, in particular, his detachment with his History. There was never such a travelling generation like the modern, young European. However, the constant search of experiences has torn the contact with history and culture. The ephemeral and temporary contact generates identity issues.
The underground as a passing point, a place of arrivals and constant departures, is an analogy to the new generation of Europeans. The featureless scenery establishes, symbolically, a space (any space) not understood by its ‘passengers’/travellers. The random records of possible representations of a young European leave a blank space to fill in with the definition of a young person incapable of self-definition.
