“Concretely, what remains from the books we read?”
Is the question that José Luís Peixoto launches in his article “The memory of books”. Assuming this question as a theme, the project “What remains of read books?” intends to communicate an impression of the relationship between the book and its reader in the memory plane.
The idea is materialised in a typographic and imagetic exploration associated with the idea of a page marker as an auxiliary item for memory. The object is divided in sections varying in dimension according to the character of the text — starting from a plane that captures detail, up to a plane that only captures an impression.
