no more miss america
Communication Design IV Project

“No More Miss America” is a publication dedicated to the feminist movement of the 60s and 70s based on the manifest and protest with the same name, organised by the “New York Radical Women” against the Miss America beauty contests in 1968. This special edition is made of posters that address each part of the manifesto in comparison to the present social situation, inspired in the visual aesthetic and theme of the advertising posters of the time. The publication also comes with a CD, which contains reports of feminist manifests from the 60s (including a speech by Betty Friedan), and an ePub with a timeline of the evolution of the depiction of women in advertisements.
