mimesis
Editorial Design II Project

The present archive contains my photography project which explores the act of meditation as a process of self-knowledge. However, like the name Mimesis says, it consists of a copy, in this particular case, of photocopies. The archive is divided into four main parts and an introductory first; these can be separated, for a better analysis, by releasing the spring clips. I seek to question the value of authenticity of the work of art, plagiarising myself by the means of the photocopy, exploring its potential in the graphic image of this object-archive. Apart from photographs and texts from the original project, I sought the use of papers and materials that potentialised the aforementioned concepts in each of the meditation phases described.

And so, the final question arises: can design and its tools surpass the original experience of the work of art?
