id
Audiovisual and Multimedia I Project

ID keeps identities unrecognisable and indistinguishable at the same time as an introspection is performed: to look inside. Inside, there’s the search of the soul’s identity; magnetic resonances locate the disease, that is, that which distinguishes us from others and gives us an identity. An infinite, looping search. ID presents itself as a critique to the search of the cure, alienation, and the need to be part of a whole. To support this search for an identity, there’s the psychoanalytic theory of Sigmund Freud (1856-1939) which claims that the identity is formed by Id, Ego and Superego.
