aura: echoes of r-evolution
Communication Design IV Project

AURA: echoes of r-evolution Magazine is based on the fight for the Civil Rights of African Americans during the 60s and 70s, aiming to explore how music, not just in this period, but also in modern times, has the ability to alert the audience to the racial problematics in society. This first issue, that includes several objects, is dedicated to the 60s’ and today’s American music, and to contemporary Portuguese Hip-Hop.

A complementary installation was made with the goal of putting the audience face to face with the current racial problematics in America through contents that are as insignificant and ephemeral as they are also oppressive.
